         Praised by the Seattle Times for her "delightful virtuosity and terrific talent" and described as having a performance that was “easily contagious in its vivacity of music and brilliance” by Newton Tab-Wicked Local, Vicky HyunJin Lee is a concert violinist and educator based in New York City and Pennsylvania.  In February 2022, Vicky founded GLOTONE (www.glotone.co), an all-in-one virtual violin masterclass platform where she collaborates with world-renowned artists, teaches students and coach professionals from the US, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, South America, South Africa, Germany, Italy, the UK, Slovakia, Turkey, Hungary, and more.

         She is a top prizewinner at the Osaka International Competition, MTNA National Solo Competition, ASTA National Solo Competition, and the Guri Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. She is a recipient of the Starling Violin Scholarship, and the R. Joseph Scott Award.  At the age of 12, Vicky solo-debuted with the Korean Symphony Orchestra in Seoul, performing Lalo’s ‘Symphonie Espagnole’, and has also been a top prizewinner at the Osaka International Competition, MTNA National Solo Competition, and ASTA National Solo Competition.  Vicky has appeared in major concert venues in New York, Boston, Seattle, San Francisco, Texas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Switzerland and Seoul.  She also performed live at New York Radio Korea, South Dakota's Public Broadcasting, "Classical 24," Seattle Classical KING FM 98.1 for their "Sunday at 7:00” Recital Series and “Martha Zeeman’s Classic Kid FM Show." 

         As an active chamber musician, Vicky has collaborated with members of The Emerson Quartet, The Tokyo Quartet, The Borromeo Quartet, and has worked closely with prominent artists including Kyung-Wha Chung, Chee-Yun Kim, Peter Oundjian, and Joseph Silverstein.  She additionally served as founder and artistic director of Forte New York Chamber Series, where she was devoted to offer unique and occasional opportunities to the both artists and the communities throughout the greater New York City metropolitan area.  Vicky is a former founder and an artistic director of Forte New York Chamber Series; devoted to offer free, world-class classical chamber music concerts to communities throughout the greater New York City metropolitan area. She offers musicians with the unique and occasional opportunities to collaborate with some of the world’s most renowned musicians.

         She represents jury members of the New York International Music Concours, Long Island Conservatory Soloist Competition.  She also served as a mentor and adjudicator for New England Conservatory's Preparatory School.  Vicky is currently holds a Guest Artist Residency at Omaha Conservatory of Music in Nebraska.  Her students successfully prepared students for admission to Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes School of Music, University of Delaware, New York University, Emory University and Stony Brook University.  In addition, they have won the Stulberg International String Competition, New York International Music Concours, Manhattan International Music Competition and performed at the Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.

         Vicky received Bachelor's and Master’s of Music degrees from the New England Conservatory as well as a Doctorate of Music Arts from Stony Brook University.  Her teachers have included Philip Setzer, Hagai Shaham, Paul Biss, Ian Swensen, James Buswell, and Nam-Yun Kim.
